Pre-Arrival

All the physical and mental prep you need for your adventure!

Things to consider

Pre-Arrival importants!

Before you set foot on our little green isle we recommend addressing any issues you may encounter with your bank, phone company, credit/debit cards and medication before you leave home. It’s all about maximizing your time so use our handy pre-arrival checklist to ensure you don’t waste any time upon arrival and don’t get stuck without access to funds or network.

The Stint team will provide you with a Leap Card (transport) and Sim Card (phone) upon arrival but it is your responsibility to put credit on them when needed.

Flights

We know how stressful finding flights can be. What’s the easiest route? how can I save money? What kind of baggage allowance am I permitted?

We have teamed up with Student Universe to offer a helpful portal which can be used to find great deals on flights. Go check it out:

 Budgeting

It is important to have an idea about the cost of living in Dublin whilst it is also recommended to have a budget plan prepared before your arrival- this will help to keep you on track and ensure you are making the most of your time here in Ireland.

We recommend taking a look at our Budgeting in Dublin and Living Expenses guides to get a better understanding of how much everyday things will approximately cost and how to keep track of expenses.

Check out our Stint Starter Guide to Dublin for advice on good places to shop and eat. We also know how important travel is so once you arrive in Dublin we will provide you with a variety of discount for various tours and trips.
